Surf’s Up On The Oregon Coast!
Incredible stretch of sunny weather and unreal surf! We’ve had a solid two weeks of sunny skies and off shore winds. What a way to start the 2026 season! Is this real life right now? I mean January on the Oregon coast is usually windy and rainy with onshore winds and victory at sea.
We’ve had multiple days over 60 degrees, sunny skies, with offshore winds grooming the surf. Our buoy readings have been like 4.9′ @ 18 seconds. This is better weather and surf than we get it the summer.
It’s not uncommon to get a high pressure ridge in January or February, but it usually is really cold and typically lasts only a few days to a week. This stretch has lasted over 2 weeks.
I heard from one surfer in the lineup that said he usually doesn’t surf this time of year, but with the incredible conditions had to get back out there and catch some waves.
Hope everyone got to enjoy the unreal conditions! A few days were maxing out on the beach breaks!
