Channel Islands M23 Surfboard Review
Channel Islands M23 surfboard review by Irwin Langeberg. The M23 is an updated version of the M13 that Al Merrick originally designed for himself. This is a great al around board that's super fun in small waves, but also can hold its own in bigger surf. Paddles and catches waves with ease, yet still does full rail turns and is easy to pump down the line.
This is a great board for a variety of surfers. Maybe you're getting a little older and don't paddle like you did in your 20's. Maybe you don't surf 3-5 times a week anymore but still want a board that performs and can do full rail carves in the pocket. Maybe your pop up has slowed a bit, but you don't want that to hinder your surfing. This is not an old man's board but does make it easier for older or bigger guys who still want to rip!
If you're looking for that one surfboard that can do it all check out the M23. We offer a couple demo sizes at the shop with epoxy construction if you'd like to try one out before you buy. For the cost of one surfboard rental you can know for sure if this is the right board for you.

M23 Channel Islands Surfboard Review
Irwin Langeberg recently traveled to Indonesia and was able to demo a Channel Islands M23 surfboard. One of the guys on the trip talked Irwin in to giving the M23 a try. Had that opportunity not been available he would have never tried one out. After returning home Irwin immediately ordered a custom M23. He received his custom and has been raving about it every day. He also purchased a back up 6'8" M23 with Torq X-Light construction. This video Irwin explains what he loves about the Channel Islands M23 surfboard.
