Left Coast Curl

This image was captured in October 2017 on the beautiful Oregon Coast in Lincoln City.  Taking photos right in the curl requires paying your dues at times. Sometimes you get sucked over the falls and worked, other times you get the shot and escape out the back. This day I had my camera ripped out of my hand by the force of the wave.  The only way to get wave shots inside and under the curl though is to get close to the action…really close.
