Duck Dive Wave Image

This photo was taken summer of 2017 on the Oregon Coast near Tillamook, Oregon. Surfers use the duck dive maneuver to get under the power and force of breaking waves when trying to paddle back out into the lineup. The duck dive actually resembles a duck diving under a breaking wave to keep from being worked or rag dolled by the force of breaking waves . This photo really shows the ocean’s power and how this maneuver can help you to escape the ocean’s wrath.
